UCL Sustainability is a dynamic, innovative team dedicated to making UCL a more sustainable institution. We pride ourselves on an open, collaborative culture that encourages new ideas and innovative ways of working. Our team is committed to embedding sustainability into all aspects of university life, from operations and research to teaching and community engagement. In 2025 we launched the new UCL Sustainability Plan 2025-35, which set the strategic direction for sustainability efforts across the university for the next 10 years.

Support from a Sustainable Research Officer is needed to help with the delivery of these during a period of maternity leave.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with basic project management, organisational and communication skills who ideally has experience within a wet lab (research or teaching) environment and a keen interest in environmental sustainability to support the wider Research Sustainability team whilst contributing to UCL’s sustainability goals.
