Role

Unitemps are recruiting for Creative AI symposium event assistants within the Culture, Communication & Media department. The role is to work the date of Friday 13th November and Saturday 14th November part time at 10 hours per week. Payment is set at £14.85+ holiday pay per hour and the role will be CAMPUS based.

We are looking for practical event support for The Art and Science of Creative AI symposium at UCL East on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th November 2026. Welcome guests, supporting registration and help people find the cinema and Marshgate event spaces. These roles are separate from the PhD volunteer group.

Duties and responsibilities

• Welcoming and greeting attendees in a professional and friendly manner
• Verifying tickets and guest list entries in accordance with the agreed admission plan
• Providing clear directions and guidance to attendees
• Assisting with signage placement and basic event setup
• Supporting speakers with practical enquiries and referring ticketing or access-related issues to the onsite supervisor
• Coordinating staff handovers and ensuring appropriate break cover

Skills and experience

• Friendly and clear communication
• Reliable attendance
• Comfortable following event instructions
• Basic digital skills for checking lists
• Willingness to work as part of a team
• Event or customer service experience
• Familiarity with UCL East

Location
UCL East, One Pool Street and Marshgate.

Please note to be eligible to work within this role, you must have the right to work in the UK, be physically based in the UK and be able to travel to our London based office for a RTW check (if required).
