Role
The Student Recruitment team are looking for a small team of students to work at our next Open Day at the Borders Campus in Galashiels on Friday 30th October.  The main purpose of the role is to support staff and visitors on the day. 

 
We are looking for applications from students studying at the Scottish Borders Campus. You must be available to work on Friday 30th October. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supporting staff at Open Day
  • Signposting and welcoming event visitors/attendees
  • Registering attendees on arrival at check-in desk
  • Manual handing of physical materials (eg. boxes of marketing materials/pull-down banners etc)
  • Manning support stands

Skills and experience

  • No specific qualifications will be required for the role, but the UK Student Recruitment Team anticipate that successful candidates will currently be enrolled at the Borders Campus as an undergraduate student with the School of Textiles & Design. 
  • Previous experience working in a front-facing customer service role, or dealing with the general public, would be advantageous, but not essential
