About Kingsley United
Stanley House Academy T/A Kingsley United Football Club is a grassroots football organisation using football as a positive tool to engage young people within our local community.
The Club provides opportunities for young people to participate in football, develop their confidence and skills, build positive relationships and become involved in a supportive community environment.
The Club is continuing to develop and grow and is looking to provide an LJMU student with an opportunity to gain practical experience of working within a grassroots sports organisation.
About the opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Development Intern to support the day-to-day development and administration of the Club.
This is a varied opportunity that will enable the successful student to gain hands-on experience of how a grassroots sports organisation operates, while contributing to a number of projects designed to strengthen and develop the Club.
The role will combine sports administration, project development, communications, community engagement and organisational development.
The internship is intended to add value to the Club while providing the student with a structured opportunity to develop their own skills, experience and understanding of working within the sports and community sector.
The role will not replace an existing employee or volunteer role and will focus on additional development activity that the Club would not otherwise have the capacity to undertake.
