Description

Role

The School of Management is seeking an Associate Tutor to support the delivery of MN7401 Organisational Behaviour, a 15-credit postgraduate module taught as part of the MSc Healthcare Management programme. Engaged through Unitemps, you will deliver seminars during Semester 1 of the 2026/27 academic year, working under the direction of the module convenor and alongside the module’s Associate Lecturer.

You will facilitate engaging and inclusive seminars that help students consolidate and apply content introduced in lectures. This is an opportunity to contribute to postgraduate teaching within a diverse academic community and support students in developing their understanding of organisational behaviour in contemporary workplace settings.

Duties and responsibilities

You will deliver eight hours of seminars using group, paired and individual activities that reinforce lecture content and encourage students to share perspectives from their own contexts. You will prepare for each session using materials provided by the module convenor and Associate Lecturer, ensuring that activities align with the module schedule, lecture content and intended learning outcomes.

You will provide formative feedback during seminars, support students as they prepare for the module’s individual assignment and direct them to appropriate academic or pastoral support where required. You will also record attendance and engagement, use Blackboard as necessary and liaise with the module convenor, Associate Lecturer, programme director and relevant professional services colleagues.

Skills and experience

You will hold a Master’s qualification, or have equivalent experience, in management, organisational behaviour, human resource management, organisational psychology or a closely related discipline. You will have up-to-date knowledge of organisational behaviour theory and its application to contemporary workplace issues, together with the ability to facilitate small-group learning, encourage participation and communicate effectively with students and colleagues. A high level of proficiency in English and proven IT competency, including familiarity with virtual learning environments, are also essential.

You will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a module team and demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, inclusive teaching aligned with the University’s values of being Inclusive, Inspiring and Impactful. A relevant PhD, or progress towards one, a teaching qualification or Fellowship of Advance HE, experience of teaching postgraduate or international students in UK higher education, and knowledge of healthcare or public-sector organisations would be advantageous. Experience of teaching organisational behaviour through live cases and published research would also be welcomed.
