Role
The Research & Innovation team are looking for a Data Analyst to join their team on a temporary basis.
Duties and responsibilities
The role comprises of the following:
- organising large bibliometrics data sets, cleaning and assessing data quality
- creating new datasets as the basis for REF2029 preparatory analysis to support the university's submission to REF2029
- building on the outputs and insights from the SPRE project, build analysis to investigate the correlations between publications practice and research environment
- provide analysis and reporting for ad hoc requests from university senior management and for reporting to REF2029 governance committees, in particular the REF Strategy Group.
- working with UoA leads apply data analysis insights to UoA REF2029 strategy.
- work under the guidance of Director RISD and REF Team.
Skills and experience
- quantitative skills
- familiar with use of AI enabled tools for data analysis
- strong data handling
- data organising, data cleaning and data assessment
- experience of data research
- awareness of REF2029
- willingness to expand data analysis skills, learn new tools and methods as required
