Role
Do you have an interest in VR games? Do you have an interest in Dance/Music focused games? Are you passionate about improving personal mental health?
As part of this role, you will take part in the User Experience testing of both Games, Software and Tech through Warwick’s UX testing facility in the Fusion Esports Centre. As part of the activity, you will be either testing pre-released games, software or tech for a specified period. Playtesting will be followed by interviews/surveys with the industry partner/team that has booked the test.
For this particular role you will need to be avaialbe to work 1pm-4pm on 14th October, 21st October and 28th October.
Duties and responsibilities
- The main responsibility is confidentiality – you will be required to sign individual /non-disclosure agreements with companies before the testing session begins. These NDA’s are signed directly with the companies and you – and testing cannot happen without them.
- You must not share the details of testing or the products you have tested, unless asked to do so by industry partners or Fusion centre staff (as part of a promotional campaign).
- You must be willing to hand over mobile phones or any devices capable of recording imagery or sound, prior to the test beginning.
- When you sign up for a test session, you must be able to commit to the duration of the session.
- You must turn up to agreed testing sessions on time.
Skills and experience
- Previous history playing VR games (in your cover letter please mention what VR games you have played, and or how many hours you’ve logged with dance/music games).
- Interest or casual game experience
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
- Interest in mindfulness, taking active steps to maintain positive mental health, this could be fitness, exercise, social activities.
