Role
We are currently looking for a Course Officer for our Tooting campus.

Duties and responsibilities
Course Officer Duties - 

Act as the primary contact for course-related queries from students, staff, prospective students and external stakeholders.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, verbally and in writing, regarding the course and associated activities and deadlines.
• Advise students on course related processes including extensions, extenuating circumstances, appeals and interruptions, ensuring responses are timely, supportive and provide appropriate signposting to sources of support.
Support administrative processes across the student lifecycle, such as registration, module selection, timetabling, attendance, assessment and progression, using a range of systems.
• Maintain accurate student records within systems (e.g. SITS, VLE), ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Ensure deadlines are met and processes are delivered in line with the academic year calendar.
 
Specifically, and outside of the standard Course Officer role, this staff member will work with placement teams to process student travel claims via NHS portals. This will equate to around 40% of the role.

Skills and experience

Educated to A Level/NVQ level 3 or Equivalent

Experience of higher education administration or course operations (desirable)

Strong IT skills including use of databases, student records systems and VLE systems

Experience of committee servicing *(Desirable)

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities 

High level of accuracy and attention to detail 

Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively

Additional information
Start: 12/10/26

End: 12/01/27
Working pattern: 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday
Expectation would be 2-3 days onsite at Tooting and remainder at home.
