Unitemps are acting as an Employment Business, supplying temporary workers, in relation to this vacancy.

FOR CURRENT STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTTINGHAM ONLY.

As an Administration Assistant for Student group development, you will provide admin support to the Student Groups Development team as part of the Student Communities department. You will also be promoting opportunities for students to get involved in Union activity and celebrate student leaders at the University.  A keen eye for detail is vital, as the role will involve a lot of scrutiny for details ensuring the correct processes are being followed. It is important that your personal approach is in line with our values at the SU.  

You will need to prioritise your tasks and be able to multi-task. You will also need to be pro-active and able to locate information which is not readily available. Your personal approach will therefore be important.  As well as excellent communication skills you will also need a commitment to delivering quality customer service when liaising with our student groups, SU staff and University stakeholders. 

Start Date: To be confirmed
Length of Assignment: Discuss with hiring manager
Working Hours: As required, discuss with hiring manager

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hours plus holiday pay at 12.07%
Location: University Park

Dress Code: Smart Casual

Duties and responsibilities

  • Answering e-mail, phone and face to face enquiries in an efficient and courteous manner
  • Support student group development by approving products, checking finances and answering student group queries via the student group email
  • Assist in the development of student group training
  • Book appointment as and when required for development meetings

Skills and experience

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Keen eye for Detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to multitask and prioritise
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to accurately update databases
  • Able to handle information confidentially
