We are seeking a Research Assistant to support an innovative research project exploring how civil society organisations, community leaders and civic networks contribute to thriving and resilient communities across Merseyside.
The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering literature and reviews, data collection and analysis, and the production of project outputs and reports on critical social issues in the region. The Research Assistant's work will support asocial network analysis and work closely with the wider project team to produce a civic convenor framework for regional leadership guidance.

- Conduct literature and evidence reviews.
- Support network mapping and data collection activities.
- Assist with qualitative data analysis and synthesis of findings.
- Contribute to project reports, presentations and dissemination materials
- Document research procedures and maintain organised research records.
- Liaise professionally with project partners and stakeholders as required.
Skills and experience
Essential
- Master's level qualification (or near completion in a social sciences discipline.
- Experience working with qualitative research methods.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to meet research deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- AI assisted literature reviews
- Knowledge of, or experience in, place-based civil society, community development, social change initiatives, or related research.
- Experience of evidence synthesis, stakeholder mapping, or social network analysis.
