Role

Duties and responsibilities

• Conduct literature searches using academic databases and identify relevant research evidence.
• Screen, organise and synthesise research literature related to trauma-informed, attachment-aware and psychologically responsive approaches in education. 
• Produce literature summaries, evidence tables and annotated bibliographies.
• Organise and manage research data in accordance with ethical and data protection requirements.
• Assist with the coding and thematic analysis of qualitative data.
• Support the analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative findings.
• Prepare data summaries, tables and visualisations to support reporting.

Skills and experience
Essential Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (minimum 2:1) in Education, Psychology, Childhood Studies, Social Sciences, Health Sciences or a related discipline.

Knowledge 

• Understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Knowledge of academic literature searching and reviewing.
• Understanding of ethical issues relating to educational research and data management.

Skills

• Ability to conduct systematic literature searches using academic databases.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to synthesise and summarise research findings clearly and accurately.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

Experience

• Experience of undertaking research as part of a degree programme, dissertation oremployment.
• Experience of conducting literature reviews.
• Experience of analysing qualitative research data.Experience of handling sensitive information confidentially.
