Role

Unitemps are recruiting for a CampusVibe Ambassador within the Estates Division. The role is to work the date of 12th October 2026 and will run until 31st January 2027 part time at 3 hours per week. Payment is set at £14.85+ holiday pay per hour and the role will be CAMPUS based.

The CampusVibe team is part of UCL Estates – Campus Experience & Commercial Services. Our task is to gather feedback for services across campus like maintenance, catering and cleaning, and to embed users’ voices in the work Estates does.

The purpose is to support the CampusVibe team in their efforts to gather feedback, and to help expand the project’s reach to every campus user.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Supporting weekly operational checks on equipment via campus walkarounds.
  • Reporting and resolving simple troubleshooting issues with equipment, for example checking power connectivity, supervising software updates, basic manual handling if a tablet kiosk needs to be moved.
  • Escalating issues to the supervising team when unable to do a quick fix.
  • Promoting student engagement at UCL, for example conducting market research-style activities at pop-up events.
  • Providing simple administrative support for the team, for example filling out weekly reports on equipment status or writing up notes from focus groups.
  • Acting as an promoter for CampusVibe and for Estates, for example using and promoting MyCampus while on shift.
  • Shifts will be ad-hoc based on ambassadors’ availability and the business need, but we anticipate at least 2 hours per week of equipment checks.

General

  • Follow and actively promote the UCL Ways of Working.
  • Carry out any other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job as requested by the line manager.
  • This job description may be reviewed and be subject to amendment in consultation with the post holder.

There may be opportunities to complete work from home, for example administrative duties, but campus will remain the contractual place of work and hybrid working may be revoked with notice.

Skills and experience

  • Current UCL student
  • Experience working as part of a team and taking instructions from leadership
  • Experience writing clear reports or documents
  • Experience of customer service, market research/brand ambassador roles, or engaging with students
  • Good knowledge of the UCL Campus
  • Clear communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to check for errors
  • Good navigation skills
  • Excellent punctuality and organisational skills
