Duties and responsibilities

This role would to a support role to help with the team with marketing and business support for Mersey Maritime's membership offer including the delivery of events.

  • Marketing Support
  • Create and schedule content for social media, newsletters and the website.
  • Help promote Mersey Maritime events, projects and initiatives.
  • Assist with producing marketing materials, member stories and news articles.
  • Monitor social media and website performance and prepare simple reports. Business Support
  • Support day-to-day administrative activities.
  • Maintain contact databases and business records for members.
  • Help prepare presentations, reports and meeting documents.
  • Carry out basic research on industry trends and member needs.
  • Events and Engagement
  • Assist with organising events, workshops and networking sessions.
  • Support event communications and attendee registrations.
  • Help engage with members, partners and stakeholders.
  • Represent Mersey Maritime at events when appropriate.

Skills and experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
