Role
The GRID team is looking for an enthusiastic and well-connected student to join our Enterprise Student Ambassador team for Academic Year 2026/27.
This role will support the promotion of enterprise, innovation and entrepreneurial activities across the University, helping students discover opportunities to develop skills, gain experience and engage with the wider Heriot-Watt community.
We are particularly keen to increase engagement with students involved in sport and encourage applications from individuals who have strong links with the Sports Union, sports societies, sports clubs, or Oriam.
Duties and responsibilities
Support the Business & Enterprise team with events, outreach activity, open days and insights into the student experience throughout the academic year.
- Event planning, promotion and delivery (student audience)
- Event support & logistics for wider B&E events
- Outreach - build a network of contacts across the university
- Outreach - connect with societies
- Lecture shout-outs
- Insights - delve into the needs / wants of our student community to help B&E shape the support offered
Skills and experience
- Confident public speaker
- Good PowerPoint skills (or other - Canva)
- Understanding of Canva, Eventbrite and similar software's
- Experienced in networking and building lasting relationships
