• Acting as the first point of contact for Student Voice Leaders (SVLs) within your faculty, ensuring they are supported and engaged.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with Programme Leaders and key University staff to ensure student voices influence faculty-level decisions.
• Collating, analysing, and escalating common themes from SVL feedback to the Education Officer and Student Voice Team.
• Representing students at faculty-level meetings, Education Leaders’ Forum and Union Council, ensuring student perspectives are consistently voiced.

• Proactively building awareness and visibility of the Faculty Leader role across your faculty, so that students and SVLs know who you are and how to reach you.

Duties and responsibilities
In order to fulfil these accountabilities, you will be expected to:

• Provide regular communication and support to SVLs in your faculty, helping them tofulfil their roles effectively.
• Help deliver training, support sessions, and communications to engage and retain SVLs.
• Work with SVLs to identify trends in student feedback and co-develop potentialsolutions.
• Ensure student feedback is accurately represented at faculty-level meetings and outcomes are communicated back to SVLs and students.
• Contribute to MDXSU’s wider academic representation system, including attendingEducation Leaders’ Forums and Union events.
• Support the creation and growth of course-based societies and initiatives that strengthen academic communities.
• Attend and provide updates at Union Council on progress, challenges, and key themes emerging from your faculty.
• Deliver introductory classroom or seminar visits at the start of the academic year to introduce yourself, explain the role of MDXSU, and encourage student engagementin academic representation.

• University ESE (Education & Student Experience) Committee - Working with staffand student representatives to discuss teaching, learning and wider student experience issues across the University.

• Training & Development - Attending training sessions to build skills, knowledge and confidence in the role and where appropriate, helping to facilitate training for other student leaders.
• Awards & Recognition - Taking part in events that celebrate student contributions and successes.
• Leaders Lounge - Engaging with peers in an informal space for networking, sharing practice and strengthening the student voice community.
• Faculty Leader Executive Meeting - A standing monthly meeting with the Education Officer and fellow Faculty Leaders to share faculty-level updates, surface shared themes across the University and work collectively on cross-faculty issues.

• Current Middlesex University student,enrolled in the 2026–27 academic year - Essential
• Be from the ACI Faculty - Essential

• Experience as a Student Voice Leader(SVL), or equivalent representative role - Desirable
• Understanding of the role of MDXSU and academic representation at Middlesex University - Desirable
• Experience in leadership, teamwork, orsupporting peers - Desirable

• Passionate about improving the studentacademic experience - Essential
• Excellent communication skills, bothwritten and verbal - Essential
• Confident in speaking with both studentsand staff - Essential
• Organised, reliable, and able to manageyour own workload - Essential
