Role
This graduate role provides experience across the full student recruitment and marketing remit, including lead generation, events engagement and conversion activity.
Rotating through functions, successful candidates will gain practical experience in brand marketing, content creation, digital engagement, customer service, events delivery, lead generation and face-to-face outreach.
The role is suited to a recent graduate seeking to build a career in marketing, communications, recruitment or higher education.
Duties and responsibilities
Student Recruitment Engagement
- Support the planning and delivery of student recruitment outreach on campus and in schools and colleges
- Respond to prospective student enquiries across a range of communication channels
- Analyse recruitment data and prepare reports to support decision-making
- Work with academic departments to promote student opportunities
- Assist in developing targeted recruitment materials
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance the applicant and prospective student experience
Events
- Assist with the organisation of open days, applicant days, school visits, exhibitions, recruitment fairs, external shows and corporate events
- Support the delivery of events
Marketing
- Support the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns
- Create engaging content for digital channels
- Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports using analytics tools
- Assist with organising content-gathering activities
Enquiries and Conversion
- Develop Customer Relationship Management skills using systems including MS Dynamics 365
- Support the development and delivery of prospective student and applicant engagement campaigns, working with colleagues to gather content
- Provide customer service by handling enquiries about courses, applications and events
- Track the student journey and identify opportunities to improve engagement and conversion
Broad Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of marketing collateral, presentations and promotional materials
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
- Offer ideas and recommendations to enhance marketing and recruitment performance
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, students and external partners
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to data protection and compliance requirements
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions and professional development activities
- Support wider departmental projects as required
Skills and experience
Essential
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Media, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Creative approach to problem-solving and content creation.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and willing to learn.
- Driving license
Desirable
- Experience of social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
- Understanding of marketing principles and campaign planning.
- Experience using CRM, email marketing, or analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of the higher education or student recruitment sector.
- Experience of event planning or customer-facing roles.
