We are Quantum Science, and we specialise in infrared quantum dot technology. We make advanced quantum dot materials which are used in infrared imaging and sensing applications.
In this role you will work with senior chemists and device engineers in our Project Centre to accelerate the commercialisation of our quantum dot materials.
Our company is based on the Daresbury Laboratory site which is accessible by both car and public transport.

Duties and responsibilities
This role involves:
- Measurement of optoelectronic devices using electrical test equipment
- Characterisation of quantum dot materials
- Data analysis and report preparation
- Training and mentoring by senior scientists
Skills and experience
- UK-based with right to work
- Undergraduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or related subject
- General laboratory experience at undergraduate level is required.
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment is desirable as is knowledge of software for measurement & automation and/or dataprocessing e.g. Matlab, JMP, Origin, Python, etc
- Attention to detail, commitment, and reliability are essential.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential
