Download application form  Marketing & Communications Assistant InternMindClass is looking for a motivated and creative intern to support our growing work across marketing, communications and web development.
The intern will work closely with the MindClass team, gaining practical experience of how a developing organisation builds itsbrand, communicates with its audiences and manages its digital presence.This is a varied role suited to someone interested in digital marketing, communications, branding and web development who would like the opportunity to develop their skills in a supportive, hands-on environment. The intern will have the opportunity to contribute their own ideas and take ownership of small projects while gaining experience across several areas of digital communications.
Duties and responsibilities
Main duties will include:
- Supporting the creation of marketing and communications content across digital channels.
- Helping develop and maintain the MindClass website, including updating pages, content and basic functionality.
- Creating and scheduling content for social media and other communications.
- Supporting the development of the MindClass brand and ensuring communications are clear and consistent.
- Assisting with promotional materials for services, projects and events.
- Carrying out basic research into audiences, competitors and opportunities for growth.
- Supporting email communications and digital campaigns.
- Contributing ideas for improving MindClassʼs online presence and engagement.
- Providing general creative and digital support to the wider team.
Skills and experience
Person Specification
- Digital and web skills:
- A good level of digital confidence and an interest in website development and management.
- Some familiarity with WordPress, website builders, HTML/CSS or similar tools would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Marketing and communication skills:
- An ability to communicate clearly and creatively, with an interest in social media, digital marketing, branding and creating engaging content for different audiences.
- Creativity and initiative:
- Confidence in contributing new ideas and finding creative ways to communicate MindClassʼs workand develop its online presence.
- Good written English and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks and meet agreed deadlines.
- Willingness to learn new digital tools and develop skills throughout the internship.
- An interest in mental health, wellbeing, education or socially focused organisations would be particularly welcomed.
- Relevant degree subjects may include:
- Marketing, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Media, Journalism, Graphic Design, Digital Media,Web Design/Development, Computer Science, Creative Technologies, Business, Psychology and related subjects.
- Applications would also be welcomed from students studying other disciplines who can demonstrate relevant digital, creative or communication skills and a strong interest in the role.
