Download application form  Content Marketing InternThe Marketing & Communications department at Liverpool Biennial is a busy and exciting department to work in. Made up of a Senior Marketing & Communications Manager and a Digital Content & Marketing Officer, we have fun and work hard -conveying what goes on at Liverpool Biennial to our wide-range of audiences in an accessible way. 

The Content Marketing Intern will assist with day-to-day running of the department and gain experience in social media, e-newsletters and website content. If you would like to learn more about any other area of the marketing department, we are happy to facilitate this through shadowing opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities
The Content Marketing Intern will receive training in the following areas:

 
  • Social media strategy, and how to implement it
  • Search engine optimisation and keyword research
  • How to use the back end of a website

The main duties of the Content Marketing Intern will be:- 

  • Researching competitor websites
  • Copywriting for our website, social media and e-newsletter
  • Reviewing, scheduling and uploading content
  • Managing and labelling our Image Bank

Skills and experience
Essential criteria:- 

  • Excellent writing skill (the job requires that copywriting is done by a human and not by AI)
  • Can work to deadlines effectively- Would enjoy developing creative content ideas as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn
  • Has an interest in the arts and heritage
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion 
  • Commitment to Environmental sustainability and responsibility

Desirable criteria (if you have these, itʼs a bonus!):

  • Experience of writing for audiences (e.g. for a university newspaper, your own blog, or running your own social media accounts)
  • Experience of working in the arts, heritage, creative, hospitality, tourism or retail sectors
  • Studying a subject such as English, media or humanities, or another essay-based degree
  • Time management and organisation (e.g. working on multiple essays at once, juggling society commitments with university)
  • Experience of working as part of a team (e.g. playing a sport, working in hospitality)
