Duties and responsibilities
The China Capability Programme Development Intern will support Liverpool City Council's Business Support Team in the
development of digital learning resources for the China Capability Programme.
The internship will focus on the production, organisation and enhancement of online learning content designed to help
participating businesses improve their understanding of the Chinese market and build confidence in engaging internationally.
Working closely with Council officers, programme stakeholders and partner organisations, the intern will assist in the
development of a series of online learning modules, transforming recorded presentations, interviews and business case
studies into engaging and accessible learning resources for programme participants.
Key responsibilities may include:
• Coordinating and organising video recordings, presentations and supporting materials received from subject matter experts.
• Assisting with video editing, formatting and quality assurance of online learning modules.
• Creating subtitles, captions and accessibility features where appropriate.
• Supporting the development of learning resources, presentation materials and visual content.
• Assisting with the collection, organisation and presentation of case studies and speaker materials.
• Uploading, maintaining and managing digital learning content on approved online platforms.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the timely production of learning materials.
The internship offers valuable hands-on experience in digital content production, video editing, stakeholder engagement and
project delivery within a local government and international business support environment. The successful candidate will
contribute to a live economic development programme while developing practical skills in content creation, communication and
digital learning resource management. Subject to project timelines and workload, the intern may also have the opportunity to
support wider China Capability Programme activities, including business engagement events, workshops, stakeholder
communications and programme promotion.
Skills and experience
Essential Skills and Attributes
• Strong video editing skills and experience using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci
Resolve or similar platforms.
• Experience creating, editing and publishing digital video content.
• Understanding of video production workflows, including editing, file management, audio enhancement, subtitles, graphics
and final rendering.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively to deadlines.
• Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Experience creating content for online learning platforms, social media or digital marketing campaigns.
• Experience creating subtitles, captions and accessibility features for video content.
• Experience working with multimedia assets, including video, audio, presentations and visual content.
• Knowledge of social media content creation and audience engagement.
• Interest in international business, cultural engagement or China-related topics.
• Knowledge of Chinese language or culture would be advantageous but is not essential.

engagement and digital publishing.
