Role

Please note: This role is only open to UG and PG students studying in the School of Biosciences at University of Nottingham.

This role will support the Sutton Bonington Community Pantry, an open access food store for students facing financial hardship and food insecurity. As part of this role, you will stock food in the Pantry, produce social media content for the Community Pantry Instagram page (@uonpantry), develop and pack meal kits, and run and/or support Campus Cook alongs.

Start Date: 05/10/2026

End Date: 30/06/2027

Working Hours: Ad hoc each week - up to 35 hours of work in total over the academic year

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.62 per hour

Location: Sutton Bonington Campus, UoN. Any local access required will be arranged during induction

Dress Code: Smart Casual

Duties and responsibilities

  • Stocking the pantry with food items (all items bought by the University)
  • Packing meal kits with recipe cards and ingredients
  • Developing new meal kits Leading and/or supporting Campus Cook alongs with key staff on Sutton Bonington, where students come together and cook meals (Wednesday afternoons in term time)
  • Producing content for the Community Pantry Instagram page (@uonpantry)
