Role
As a student ambassador you'll develop your work skills, have fun, get paid and inspire young people to follow in your footsteps. You'll help bring the university (and your degree course) to life through your enthusiasm and support.
Duties and responsibilities
The main role of a student ambassador is to talk enthusiastically and confidently to people about your time at university and your experiences on your course. Some of the events you'll get involved in include:
- campus tours - share what made you fall in love with your campus and inspire future students to follow in your footsteps;
- open/offer holder days - help potential students decide which university to make their first choice;
- outreach sessions - help raise aspirations about coming to university, particularly among children who face a greater challenge in doing so due to their background, disability or race;
- higher education fairs - help students and parents learn more about higher education;
- office experience - assist the marketing team with a variety of work aimed at encouraging potential students to attend these events; Q&As and student life talks.
Skills and experience
No previous experience required. Training will be given.
