Description
Role
This role is critical to the continued growth and success of the vHive Incubator, supporting early stage animal health innovation and providing the sponsor Zoetis access to a wide range of early stage startups. The post holder plays a key operational support role within the vHive team, ensuring all tasks and activities happen in an efficient and timely manner.
This is a mainly administrative role based at the University of Surrey.
£16.68 per hour.
£2.01 per hour holiday pay.
37.5 hours per week.
Starting 21st of September until 31st of October 2026.
Duties and responsibilities
- Monitor the vHive inbox, signpost enquiries to the appropriate staff members, and minute meetings.
- Support the cohort recruitment process for the vHive Incubator (answering FAQ emails).
- Managing the Linkedin account for vHive Record management and proficient with the Microsoft teams’ platform, Sharepoint and basic Linkedin posting.
- Basic financial support including raising purchase orders and adding new suppliers.
- We are looking for someone, who is organised, detail orientated and happy to fill in multiple roles within a small team.
- You do not need to have specific experience of animal health, although it is desirable.
Skills and experience
- High Level of IT skills, ideally with Microsoft Office – Work, Excel, Outlook and other databases.
- Experience of liaising/negotiating with service-based businesses and delivering seminars/workshops.
- Experiences of maintaining websites and social media.
- Experience of managing a diverse workload, time management and working on concurrent projects.
- Ability and/or experience of working unsupervised and making calculated decisions
