At Jamescape, we are transforming the world of work through technology. We enable digital transformation through the development of bespoke digital solutions, including websites and web applications, to support organisations worldwide. We also turn organisations into truly inclusive workplaces that can recruit and retain disabled talent, centred around the UK Governments Disability Confident scheme.

Join Jamescape at an exciting time of growth, as we expand our Disability Confident consulting offer to support more organisations to become inclusive workplaces for disabled people. This job involves developing an internal data tool to help us track potential new leads for our consulting offer.

This role is flexible, but requires self-discipline, good teamwork skills and a desire to learn new technologies. As a start-up, you will be joining a small team of software developers and, unlike at a larger company, you will be expected to be self-reliant and take on responsibility. Conversely, this means that you get to take ownership of your work and make an impact.

Duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities-

  • Planning, developing, and testing an internal web data tool to help us track Disability Confident consulting leads
  • Presenting your work to team members for feedback

Skills and experience
Person Specification

Essential:
  • Currently studying a Computer Science degree
  • Have a willingness to develop new skills and learn new technologies
  • Experience developing and testing software projects (web or native)
  • Good level of technical knowledge
  • Experience working in a team, ideally in a software environment
Desirable:
  • Experience in TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience with Notion
  • Understanding of workplace inclusion/the Disability Confident scheme
  • Lived experience of disability and/or long-term health condition
Desirable criteria are not expected, include any relevant experience in them in your application; but lack of experience in particular technologies is not a barrier to this job. Given the nature of this project, we particularly welcome applications from those with lived experience of disability
