Role
As a Student Ambassador, you will welcome and support new students by leading campus tours, providing information and guidance, and delivering a friendly, engaging experience throughout the Welcome period at City St George’s, University of London.
Duties and responsibilities
- Help set up the Big Hello event and support with clear-up once the event finishes.
- Take on a variety of roles during the event, including:
- Welcoming and directing students.
- Running quick surveys.
- Recording and monitoring attendance.
- Handing out freebies.
- Be a friendly point of contact by answering questions, offering support and helping students feel welcome.
- Be flexible and provide support with other Ambassador duties as required.
Skills and experience
- Provide a high level of customer service to new and returning City St George’s students during Welcome Week.
- Good understanding of the responsibilities and expectations of a Student Ambassador.
- Strong knowledge of the University campus, key locations and essential student services.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with diverse groups.
- Friendly and outgoing, with confidence approaching and engaging with students.
