Description
Role
The School of Engineering are looking for a temporary student assistant to support the development of SolidWorks learning materials for first-year engineering students.
Duties and responsibilities
Under the guidance of the module lecturer, the successful applicant will be responsible for recording and editing 15 short instructional videos to guide first-year students in using SolidWorks for:

3D modelling;
-
Assembly modelling; and
-
Creating 2D engineering drawings.
The videos will be used as learning resources to support students in developing their basic SolidWorks skills.
Skills and experience
Essential Requirements
Applicants should:
-
Current undergraduate or postgraduate student;
-
Knowledge of mechanical engineering drawing;
-
Have good practical knowledge and experience of SolidWorks;
-
Be able to create 3D models, assemblies and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks;
-
Have experience or demonstrated ability in video recording and editing;
-
Be able to explain technical procedures clearly and systematically;
-
Be reliable and able to complete the work within the agreed timescale.
