Description
Role
The Learner Support Team are looking to recruit a student support worker, to start this term and offer support throughout the year as required.
To provide one to one support for disabled students to assist with their studies. This could include supporting students in practical classes, attending field trips and assisting with accessing lectures and tutorials.
Duties and responsibilities
- Accompany students to and from lectures to assist with access requirements
- Assist with laboratory practicals and practical tasks
- Support on field trips to assist with accessibility, including note taking and practical tasks
- Any other reasonable support tasks as required
Skills and experience
We would be looking for someone who is professional, highly reliable, demonstrates excellent communication skills and has an understanding of students with additional support needs to ensure their needs are met either in practical classes, field trips or accessing classes.
We may be able to use another Harper student for one off field trips only. Great for Ambassadors.
