Role
Unitemps are recruiting for 2 Events AV Assistants. This role is suitable for current UCL Students (or UCL Graduates) Only. This role is for an asap start date (mid September) and has a projected end date of June 27th 2027. This is a part-time role at 4 hours per week. Payment is set at £15.45 per hour + £2.89 holiday pay. This role is fully UCL campus based working.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide basic AV assistance on an ad hoc basis, supporting the setup, delivery, and pack down of events and activities.
  • Safely connect and operate equipment including wireless receivers, printing stations, CDJs, mixers, and speakers.
  • Handle cable management safely and neatly across all event spaces.
  • Follow guidance, complete tasks safely and represent UCL Accommodation positively when supporting students and colleagues.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with management and keep up to date with correspondence from colleagues.
  • Be proactive on shift by asking how you can help, responding to changing priorities and taking initiative when needed.

Skills and experience

  • Basic understanding of wireless receivers, printing, connecting CDJs to mixers/speakers, and safe cable management.
  • A strong desire to learn more about AV setups and event tech.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within agreed guidelines.
