Description
Role
Are you passionate about creating content, sharing your student experience and bringing ideas to life?
Duties and responsibilities
The way you contribute will vary depending on your campus, course, availability and the type of content we're creating.
- Taking part in regular scheduled filming sessions with the Social Media Team.
- Contributing to interviews, student stories and planned social media campaigns.
- Sharing experiences of campus life, placements, student activities and studying at Staffordshire.
- Taking part in filming days, events and other planned content opportunities where your course and availability allow.
- Suggesting content ideas based on your own experience and what you think prospective and current students would find useful or engaging.
- Working collaboratively with the Social Media Team and other creators rather than being expected to independently produce content on a regular basis.
You won't be expected to create a constant stream of self-directed content. We understand that healthcare placements, coursework and other course commitments can make regular content creation difficult, so we'll work with you to identify opportunities that fit around your studies.
Skills and experience
We're not looking for influencers. We're looking for storytellers.
- Creative and full of ideas.
- Authentic and comfortable being themselves.
- Confident, or willing to build their confidence, in front of and behind the camera.
- Passionate about sharing their university experience.
- Curious about social media and what makes content engaging.
- Reliable, organised and able to communicate effectively.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
- Adaptable and open to feedback.
- Keen to learn and develop new skills.
- Interested in creating content that genuinely connects with student audiences.
You don't need thousands of followers or professional content creation experience. We're more interested in your personality, creativity, perspective and potential.
Previous experience is welcome but not essential. If you've got enthusiasm, creativity and a willingness to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
As part of your application, you'll be asked to submit a short video introducing yourself and showing us your creativity.
