Role

Student Content Creators are responsible for producing content for the university's social media channels that reflects student life, and helps us to communicate key messages to our audiences. Successful candidates will respond to briefs, filming and editing reels, while pitching their own creative ideas.

Start Date: 01/10/2026

End Date: 30/09/2027

Working Hours: To be arranged by hiring manager - average of 10 (and minimum of 5) hours a month with opportunity to pick up extra hours

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.53 per hour

Location: Remote

Dress Code: Smart Casual

Duties and responsibilities

  • Creating reels, carousels and creative content for university social media channels 
  • Filming and editing
  • Responding creatively to briefs 
  • Generating original ideas for content 
  • Monitoring social media trends 
  • Sharing your experience of university life

Skills and experience

  • Highly creative and full of new ideas 
  • Strong knowledge of current social media trends 
  • Comfortable being in front of the camera and filming in public 
  • Skilled at filming and editing content 
  • Passionate about trying new things and sharing your experience 
  • A self-starter and able to work autonomously 
  • Reliable, can meet deadlines and respond positively to feedback
