Flowstate CIC is a Liverpool-based Community Interest Company that delivers creative wellbeing experiences across community, public sector and corporate settings. Through yoga, sound healing, mindful creativity and holistic wellbeing workshops, we create inclusive spaces that support connection, creativity and positive mental wellbeing.

As Flowstate continues to grow, we are expanding our wellbeing offerings, helping organisations create healthier, more connected workplaces through engaging and meaningful wellbeing experiences.

The Business Development & Marketing Intern will become part of a small, passionate team and play an active role in supporting the growth of the organisation. This is a varied, hands-on opportunity that combines marketing, business development, event support and creative content creation.

  • The internship will operate on a hybrid basis. The intern will work remotely for administrative, marketing and research tasks, with in-person work taking place at community venues across Liverpool and occasional planning meetings at agreed locations. This reflects the flexible nature of Flowstate CIC's work, which is delivered across multiple community and corporate settings rather than from a single permanent office.

Duties and responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the launch and promotion of Flowstate's corporate wellbeing services.
  • Assisting with marketing campaigns across Instagram, LinkedIn and other digital platforms.
  • Creating marketing materials using Canva, including brochures, presentations and social media content.
  • Researching potential corporate clients, partners and networking opportunities.
  • Assisting with business development activities, including maintaining lead databases and preparing outreach materials.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of workshops and wellbeing events.
  • Collecting testimonials, photography and content from events to support future marketing.
  • Assisting with general administration, project coordination and maintaining organised digital systems.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a student interested in marketing, events, social enterprise, communications, business development or the creative industries. The successful candidate will gain practical experience within a growing social enterprise while contributing to projects that have a genuine social impact.

Skills and experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and proactive individual who is passionate about wellbeing, community engagement and helping to grow a purpose-driven organisation. This role is suitable for Level 5 and Level 6 undergraduate students who are keen to gain practical experience within a growing social enterprise & wellbeing company.

Essential skills and qualities:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to use initiative.
  • Good attention to detail and a creative mindset.

  • An interest in social media, marketing and digital communications.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and contribute ideas.
Desirable skills:
  • Experience using Canva or other design software.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • An interest in wellbeing, community engagement, social enterprise or the creative industries.
