Role
The role will provide a welcoming and professional first point of contact for students living in university accommodation. The successful candidates will support students as they settle into accommodation, provide information about the Student Village, Hub and university services, and assist with ResLife activities and events.
The role will also involve basic administration, maintaining accurate records and reporting any maintenance, welfare, health and safety or other concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
Temporary Assistants will receive an induction and clear guidance. They will not be expected to undertake the full responsibilities of a permanent ResLife team member or independently manage complex welfare, conduct or emergency matters. Any such concerns should be recorded and escalated to the ResLife Manager or appropriate university service.
Some flexibility may be required across mornings, evenings and weekends, depending on operational needs and planned ResLife activities.
