Role
The role of a UoN Sport Live Stream ambassador is to raise the profile of University of Nottingham Sport and the wider University brand through the delivery of our brand new uonsport.tv live streaming platform. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain real marketing and communications experience, focussed on the delivery of live match days, and contribute to the ambitious vision of the UoN Sport department.
Start Date: 01/09/2026
End Date: 30/06/2027
Working Hours: To be arranged by hiring manager - 6-8 hours per week per worker during term time
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Holiday Pay Rate: £1.53 per hour
Location: David Ross Sports Village, University Park, UoN
Dress Code: Smart Casual
Duties and responsibilities
Supported by the Marketing Manager and Marketing team tasks include;
- Deliver our programme of livestreamed content via uonsport.tv for our British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competitive schedule as well as other key sporting events such as Varsity and Headliner.
- Lead on setting up live streams, manning cameras during games, updating scoreboards and ensuring all streams maintain our high-quality standards.
- Organise and co-ordinate commentators from sports clubs to support live events.
- Provide support to sports clubs streaming via the uonsport.tv platform.
- Create quality digital assets to promote and enhance our livestreamed content.
- Help shape marketing campaigns targeted to students, related to uonsport.tv.
- Provide additional capacity at key department events such as Open Days and Welcome
Skills and experience
- Candidates must be studying at the University of Nottingham for the full 2026/27 academic year. (Essential)
- Passionate about live sport and showcasing the University of Nottingham offer (Essential)
- Knowledge of University of Nottingham Sport offer and programmes. (Essential)
- Strong collaborator with the ability to work independently (Essential)
- Well organised with effective time management skills (Essential)
- Previous livestreaming experience (Desirable, full training will be provided to all successful candidates)
- Basic photo and video editing skills (Desirable, full training will be provided to all successful candidates)
