Role

Unitemps are recruiting for a Student Ambassador within the Careers Service department. The role is to work the date of Friday 4th August and will run until Saturday 5th August part time at 8.15 hours per week. Payment is set at £14.85+ holiday pay per hour and the role will be CAMPUS based.

Duties and responsibilities

  • UCL Careers will have a presence at the upcoming Open Day, on Saturday 5th September 08:45am - 16:30pm
  • The Careers area will be hosted by staff in the team, as well as a Student Ambassador
  • We are looking for a Student Ambassador to assist the Careers staff on the day by sharing the UCL Careers offering and their own experiences as a UCL student with prospective students and their guests

Skills and experience

  • UCL undergraduate current student
  • We are looking for confident students who are able to provide great customer service in a busy and dynamic environment- Past, proven engagement with the Careers service is necessary
  • Applicants must be enthusiastic and keen to promote UCL to prospective students
  • Confidence in exchanging information about UCL Careers is essential
  • The ability to answer a range of questions about how Careers helps students and takes into consideration what pressing issues visitors are enquiring about (a briefing will be provided)
  • Be proactive in welcoming attendees to our stand when on the approach and to initiate conversations as part of the visitor journey
  • Applicants must be available to work for the following times: Friday 4th September 11:00am - 11:30am (briefing call to take place on Teams, invite to be sent if your application is successful): Saturday 5th September, 08:45am - 16:30pm
