Description
Role
In this role, you'll create and promote content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, helping students discover opportunities, events, workshops and careers support available at the University of Leicester. You'll work within the Careers Hub and across campus, using your creativity to develop content that resonates with student audiences while also supporting online engagement and front-of-house activities.
Duties and responsibilities
- Help promote Careers and Employability services, events and opportunities to students across the University of Leicester.
- Working both online and within the Careers Hub, you'll create engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, helping to raise awareness of the support available to students.
- Assist with filming, editing and scheduling content, respond to student enquiries through social media and in person, and help signpost students to relevant opportunities, events and services.
- Work closely with the Careers and Employability team to support campaigns, promote vacancies and contribute ideas that help increase student engagement.
Skills and experience
- Currently studying at the University of Leicester.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- Ability to create and edit video content for digital platforms.
- Experience using design software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience using video editing software such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Comfortable promoting opportunities and engaging with diverse student groups.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to create engaging promotional content for student audiences.
- Reliable, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience working in a customer service environment.Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
