Description

Role

Belvoir Estate is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Game Shooting Assistant to join the team for the 2026/27 shooting season. This is a hands on role supporting the day to day operation of our game shoots and assisting with the preparation and smooth running of driven shoot days.

Working closely with the Shoot Captain and Shoot Manager, you will help ensure that all shoot days are conducted safely, efficiently, and professionally, providing an enjoyable experience for clients and guests.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with the day-to-day running of shoot operations.
  • Prepare drives and pegs prior to shoot days.
  • Support bird handling and game collection activities.
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment and vehicles.
  • Help maintain shoot equipment, vehicles, and associated facilities.
  • Carry out general estate and gamekeeping duties as required.
  • Support the wider shoot team to ensure the estate is presented to a high standard.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual work.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
  • Able to communicate confidently and professionally with high net worth clients and guests.
  • A strong team player who can also work independently when required.
  • Flexible and willing to support a variety of estate and shoot related tasks
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work throughout the shooting season from 1 September 2026 to 1 February 2027.
  • A practical and proactive approach to work.
