Role

Unitemps are recruiting for multiple ID card Production Assistants within the Estates Division. The role is to work the date of Tuesday 1st September 2026 and will run until Wednesday 14th October 2026 full time at 48 hours per week. Payment is set at £15.70+ holiday pay per hour and the role will be CAMPUS based.

UCL Security is responsible for the issuing of ID/smart cards for staff and students. We have a requirement for temporary staff to assist with the issuing of ID cards during the main welcome/on-boarding of students at the beginning of the academic year; and some additional sessions for smaller groups throughout the year.

Duties and responsibilities
We require temporary staff to assist with the production of ID cards during student welcome/on-boarding sessions. 

This will involve;
  • Meeting the students face to face
  • Checking their identity and locating their record on dedicated software (in some instances capturing a photo, and saving this on the system cand printing out the card)
  • Assistants will also be required to help with the management of queues and directing students
  • Staff will be required to work at either Main Campus or UCL East Campus

Skills and experience

  • A good grasp of the basic use of a PC
  • Good customer services skills in greeting and dealing with new students.
  • Willingness to be helpful, get involved and assist with the general operation of the process.
  • Good commitment and punctuality
  • Flexibility to suit the demand of the service

Please note to be eligible to work within this role, you must have the right to work in the UK, be physically based in the UK and be able to travel to our London based office for a RTW check (if required).
