Role
Teaching Assistants (TAs) will undertake marking of assessments under the guidance of the Module Convenor.

Duties and responsibilities
Marking:

 
GY2420 Climate Change – 2 roles for up to 8 hours each marking popular science articles.  
 
Module convenor is Mark Williams.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and be able to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to a range of audiences. They will demonstrate a commitment to the University's values of being inclusive, inspiring and impactful, and will be confident in analysing experimental and/or theoretical work and explaining scientific concepts in an accessible manner. Excellent written and spoken English skills are essential, together with the ability to undertake administrative tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues and students.

The role requires someone who can work independently, using their own initiative to manage priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. Applications are particularly welcomed from candidates who are working towards a PhD or MPhil and who have experience of marking undergraduate and/or postgraduate assessments. These additional qualifications and experiences would be advantageous in supporting both teaching and academic activities within the department.
