Description

Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in the administration of scholarship payments, ensuring all records and financial processes are managed accurately and in line with university procedures. Working closely with Postgraduate Research (PGR) Offices, Accounts Payable, and other stakeholders, the role involves coordinating scholarship documentation, maintaining student records, and supporting the processing of payments through relevant finance systems.

Closing Date - Saturday 25th July 23:59pm. 

Please be aware this is a four week assignment, however there is the possibility the role could be extended depending on work load remaining at the conclusion of the four weeks. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Liaising with PGR Offices to obtain and review the documentation required for scholarship processing.
  • Ensuring all student and scholarship data is accurately recorded and maintained across university systems.
  • Working with Accounts Payable to establish and manage supplier accounts within the ERP system.
  • Verifying bank details provided by students and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Raising and processing purchase orders in accordance with established procedures.
  • Reviewing purchase orders to ensure all required approvals have been obtained prior to processing.
  • Maintaining and updating scholarship tracking records to support accurate monitoring and reporting.
  • Updating fee information on Banner and ensuring records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Providing administrative support to ensure scholarship payments are processed efficiently and in compliance with university regulations.

Skills and experience

  • Must be competent in the use of MS Excel.
  • Must be able to quickly learn new digital processes.
  • Must be comfortable handling sensitive data such as bank details
Previous experience raising invoices is preferable but not essential.
