Role
The Careers and Enterprise team have an exciting opportunity to join our bank of Ambassadors in the 2026-2027 academic year! As a team, Careers and Enterprise offer lots of in- and extra-curricular support to students across the university, assisting them with all things career related to help them achieve career success.
We help students with CVs, cover letters, interview preparation, and 1-1 careers advice, throughout their degree and post-graduation.
Duties and responsibilities
As a Careers and Enterprise Ambassador, you will:
- Work proactively to introduce and promote our service to your peers across the University, helping them to understand the careers support available to them.
- Encourage students to engage with our service at pop-up events at various locations and open days, as well as promoting our services on our social media and LinkedIn.
- Cover the drop-in hub on occasion, helping your peers achieve their goals and reach their aspirations whilst also managing their expectations.
- Create and edit content to promote Careers and Enterprise on various social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook.
- Handle any queries that you may come across whilst interacting with fellow students.
- Build relationships with members of the Careers and Enterprise team to develop an understanding of what they offer students and be able to refer students to them.
- Be a friendly face to those needing our services and acting as a role model to your peers, actively participating in our services and activities to help you promote to others.
- Receive full, comprehensive training!
This role will be to join our bank of Ambassadors for the new 2026-2027 academic year; meaning you could work, on average, up to 4 hours a week, completely around your availability.
Skills and experience
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a current student at CCCU, in any year.
- Has great communication skills and is friendly and outgoing in nature.
- Is highly organised, proactive and reliable.
- Has excellent customer service skills.
- Is empathetic and understanding to different students’ needs.
- Wants to learn and develop new skills.
This role is ideal for anyone considering working in similar environments and/or students who want to gain experience and skills for their future.
