Role
Surrey Sports Park.

Join our dynamic team and help bring unforgettable events to life! We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Events Assistants to support the smooth running of a variety of exciting events. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you. 

£10.85 per hour – 16–20-Year-olds.

£12.71 per hour – 21+ Year-olds.

You will be provided with a mandatory paid training session during the week commencing 28.09.26, with shifts becoming available once training has been completed. 

This is an ongoing role, and you must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist with event setup and de-rigs, including arranging furniture, and equipment
  • The role requires significant manual handling and lifting of heavy equipment at times
  • Greet and direct guests, providing information as needed
  • Support event coordination when needed, helping with logistics and on-the-day tasks
  • Assist in breakdown and cleanup after events
  • Provide general support to event managers and other team members

Skills and experience

  • A positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve on the spot
  • Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to lift and move event equipment when needed
  • Previous event experience is a plus, but not required

This role is structured as a casual role whereby we will post available shifts to be worked each month, however we ask for the majority of shifts posted to be picked up as shifts are not set and are subject to the event demands of that month.
