Description

Role
We are a supported living service based in Blean Canterbury. We currently have 3 houses and provide care and support within a supported living setting to adults with autism and learning disabilities.

 
We currently have various opportunities available both full time, part time and overnights. Day time shift patterns are usually formed from the following: -  8am-8pm, 10am-10pm, 3.30pm-10pm. 10am -3.30pm Overnights are 8pm-10pm wake part of the shift, 10pm- 6am sleep, 6am starting wake time, finishing at 10am. 

Duties and responsibilities
As a Support Worker you will: 

  • Support with all aspects of daily living, personal care, emotional wellbeing, cooking, effectively encouraging and supporting individuals to do as much for themselves as possible 
  • Support individuals to access the local community 
  • Support with medication 
  • Contribute to delivering safe and effective care and support tailored to each individual’s unique needs.

Skills and experience
What we are looking for in a candidate: 

  • Kindness, patience and empathy 
  • Reliability and integrity 
  • Good communication skills/ good written skills 
  • A positive can-do attitude 
  • Someone who genuinely cares and wants to make a difference 
  • NVQ 2/ NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care preferred 
  • Experience in care or supporting individuals preferred however training can be provided for the right candidate.

Additional information
Pay: £13.00 per hour, sleep in shifts £50 per sleep in.
