Description
Role
As a student, having concise and accurate notes of taught sessions is vital to facilitate learning. Some students require notes to be taken on their behalf, for example because they have a physical impairment.
£13.18 per hour.
£1.59 per hour holiday pay.
This role is temporary to start 21st of September until January 2027.
Hours are flexible, and we work around note taker availability and student timetables.
Duties and responsibilities
The Disability & Neuroinclusion Team is looking for Note Takers to support some of our students for the coming semester. You will be responsible for attending the appropriate lecture in person and depositing notes afterwards in our specialised note taking portal.
This is a rewarding role as your contribution will make a real difference for our students. Previous experience is not needed and training will be provided. Hours are flexible, and we work around note taker availability and student timetables.
Skills and experience
You must:
- Be able to produce concise and accurate notes ensuring all key points are captured.
- Be able to type and/or handwrite quickly, accurately and, if handwriting, legibly.
- Have excellent spelling and grammar.
- Be reliable, punctual and organized.
Desirable:
- Have a degree.
- We are particularly interested in candidates with a Psychology, Engineering or Maths background at present.
