Role
We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable students to support a busy graduation event in Hartlepool as Gowning & Sales Assistants.
This is a great opportunity to gain customer service, sales and events experience while working as part of a professional events team. You'll help graduates and their families throughout the day, supporting with academic gowning and speaking to customers about opportunities to purchase additional graduation photography packages.
Duties and responsibilities
• Assisting graduates with gown collection and gown fitting
• Providing excellent customer service throughout the event
• Speaking confidently with graduates and families about additional photography packages available to purchase
• Supporting sales activity and answering customer queries
• Helping to keep the gowning and sales areas organised
• Working as part of a busy event team
Skills and experience
• Friendly, confident and approachable manner
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with customers and promoting additional products and services
• Reliable and punctual
• Able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Smart and professional appearance
Previous customer service, retail, sales or events experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on events, customer service and sales experience while earning some extra money over the summer.
Please note: We have multiple graduation events and event staffing opportunities coming up over the next six months. Although this particular role is for one day, there may be opportunities to work further shifts at future events across the region.
