Are you the kind of person who can rally your mates for a kickabout, lead a walking group with good vibes and good chat, or make even the most gym-shy student feel like they belong?

If so, congrats – you might just be our next Community Leader.

This isn’t about being a fitness guru or a sporting superstar. It’s about being approachable, enthusiastic, and the kind of person who makes others say: “Hey, I’d give that a go.”

You’ll help build the fun, feel-good, inclusive culture we’re all about at LJMU. From leading a chill walking session to supporting socials or casual drop-in games, you’ll be the friendly face that gets people moving and feeling great.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Be the Go To of our LJMU Move Participation Programme—welcoming students and staff to sessions and making sure they’re having a great time
  • Help plan and run relaxed, low-pressure activities where everyone feels like they can get stuck in• Set the tone—bring the energy, the good vibes, and maybe even the playlist
  • Keep us in the loop with how sessions are going, tracking attendances and engagement
  • Chat with the Physical Wellbeing & Engagement Manager to share feedback, ideas, or just a quick debrief
  • Help us keep things safe, inclusive, and respectful
