Are you aged 18-21, live in Liverpool and would love a creative job but have no professional experience?

The Andy Taylor Foundation is looking for twelve individuals who are obsessed with social media, love making digital content and dream of turning their creativity into a career, to take part in Foot in the Door Liverpool.

Foot in the Door Liverpool, in collaboration with Liverpool Film Office and Liverpool’s Youth Guarantee Trailblazer scheme, is a full-time, paid seven-week work programme where participants will elevate their digital production skills and gain practical work experience at a real creative business.

The programme consists of three weeks of bespoke training delivered by industry experts, followed by a four-week work placement, where trainees will gain valuable experience in a professional environment.

During training, participants will learn the professional processes for developing, producing and delivering social media content for brands and businesses. They’ll also be challenged to elevate their existing content production skills, delivering professional-quality content to specification and deadline.

The four-week work placement gives the participants the chance to put their new skills into practice in a real business. Placements will vary, but work could include everything from assisting on set, to writing copy for social media posts, conducting audience research, or pitching new content ideas.

Participants will also spend time building their professional portfolio, including developing an industry-standard CV to use when networking.

The creative businesses taking part include: B&M, Hat Trick Productions, LA Productions, Lime Pictures, Little Dot Studios, Big Egg Films, Liverpool Film Office, Liverpool Media Academy (LMA), Sony Pictures, Thrive, ITV's Zoo 55 and others.

Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities will vary depending on the work placement allocated, but you can expect to be doing any of the following tasks:

  • Shooting and editing social media content
  • Generating, developing and presenting ideas
  • Collaborating with a team to deliver projects on time

  • Aged 18-21 (on the 1st September 2026)
  • Currently living in an area served by Liverpool City Council (purple bins)
  • Currently unemployed and not in training or education
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Be available to work full-time in Liverpool from Monday 19th October 2026 – Friday 4th December 2026

This is an opportunity for those interested in a career in digital content production, marketing and advertising, so while we do not require any qualifications or prior experience, a demonstrable passion for consuming and creating social media content is a must.

If you do not meet all the above criteria, unfortunately we cannot accept your application.
