Description

Role
The Knowledge Exchange Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the University's research and innovation activities, helping to facilitate successful funding applications.

Duties and responsibilities

  • To co-ordinate the preparation of research and innovation applications including AKT, KTP & Innovate UK
  • To provide advice and guidance to internal and external colleagues on the institutional funding application process, including financial eligibility, research integrity and submission protocol.
  • To collate application data and reports for analysis and review.
  • To provide administrative support for internal and external meetings including minute taking, co-ordination of paperwork and subsequent actions.
  • To ensure all Due Diligence, Export Control and Trusted Research checks are undertaken and policies kept updated based on external funders requirements
  • To promote research and innovation opportunities through various internal and external channels and regularly update digital resources.
  • To act as a point of contact for research and innovation inquiries, providing accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders on funding opportunities.

Skills and experience

  • Educated to A-level, or equivalent level of experience
  • Experience of providing excellent customer service and support across the research and knowledge exchange funding landscape
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office or other digital software.
  • Experience of managing competing priorities, using initiative and problem solving
