Role
The Knowledge Exchange Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the University's research and innovation activities, helping to facilitate successful funding applications.
Duties and responsibilities
- To co-ordinate the preparation of research and innovation applications including AKT, KTP & Innovate UK
- To provide advice and guidance to internal and external colleagues on the institutional funding application process, including financial eligibility, research integrity and submission protocol.
- To collate application data and reports for analysis and review.
- To provide administrative support for internal and external meetings including minute taking, co-ordination of paperwork and subsequent actions.
- To ensure all Due Diligence, Export Control and Trusted Research checks are undertaken and policies kept updated based on external funders requirements
- To promote research and innovation opportunities through various internal and external channels and regularly update digital resources.
- To act as a point of contact for research and innovation inquiries, providing accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders on funding opportunities.
Skills and experience
- Educated to A-level, or equivalent level of experience
- Experience of providing excellent customer service and support across the research and knowledge exchange funding landscape
- Experience of using Microsoft Office or other digital software.
- Experience of managing competing priorities, using initiative and problem solving
