Role

You will work as part of the team at Sutton Bonington campus, supporting the business in our outlets: Harpers Bar, Square Eats restaurant, Bonington’s café and farm shop, or conferencing events.

Start Date: 06/07/2026

End Date: 31/08/2026

Working Hours: Shifts will range between 8am – 11pm, Monday to Saturday

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Holiday Pay Rate: £1.62 per hour

Location: Sutton Bonington Campus

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of food and beverages in either the Mulberry Cafe or Costcutter store
  • Deliver consistently high standards of customer service at all times
  • Greet customers in a friendly and approachable manner, including acknowledging them with a smile
  • Respond to customer queries promptly and helpfully
  • Make suitable product and service recommendations where appropriate
  • Contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable customer experience
  • Maintain excellent levels of service quality and attention to detail
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the catering and retail environment
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve business goals and standards

Skills and experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced food service environment
  • Proven background in a similar catering, hospitality, or retail setting
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on positive customer experience
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
  • Good communication skills when dealing with customers and team members
  • Ability to maintain high standards of service during peak periods
