Duties and responsibilities
Depending on your strengths and aspirations, as part of this role we will expect you to:
- Act as an ambassador for innovation and raise awareness about innovation and student enterprise services across campus. For instance, by engaging student societies, connecting students who are interested in entrepreneurship to our programmes, involving representatives of different departments, or creating a community of like-minded individuals.
- Contribute to the Warwick Enterprise social media presence to maximise our reach, increase student engagement, and for impact storytelling. For instance, by capturing high quality photographs, recording and editing video content; designing digital graphics for social media, printed materials and on-campus digital screens; copywriting, content editing, scheduling and engaging with posts on social media.
- Co-design, promote, and deliver education, information, and engagement activities to your peers to expose fellow students to creativity, innovation, design thinking, and hone their entrepreneurial mindset. For instance, by developing digital and other assets; producing learning resources, guides and templates that support delivery and evaluation of existing programmes; inspiring and supporting student entrepreneurs and those aspiring to be entrepreneurs in developing their ideas and skillset.
- Contribute to development and management of an interactive dashboard to capture data from a variety of sources and, using Power BI, illustrate our impact across multiple key metrics.
- Interact, communicate, and collaborate with Warwick Enterprise team while contributing to development of relevant strategies and plans. For instance, by offering unique insights as a student and representing students’ perspective to inform, shape and co-design current and future programmes and initiatives.
- Pioneer your own interests in innovation by working on initiatives that align with Warwick Enterprise priority focus areas while collaborating with the rest of the team in an area that you are particularly skilled and passionate about.
A unique aspect of the role is the opportunity to work on a project that is individual to you that helps support our mission of enabling engagement with innovation. Are you a budding filmmaker and want to launch an inspiring video campaign that helps promote enterprise skills? Would you like to share your experience and learning associated with setting up a business of your own with others? Or are you a campaigner who is passionate about creating a greener society and a more sustainable world? Check examples of what our past Innovation Fellows have been up to as you consider the options.
You will be expected to demonstrate your effectiveness in the role by:
- increasing engagement of students across campus with Warwick Enterprise activities, and
- strengthening the narrative around innovation, enterprise, and entrepreneurship across campus.
