Role

The School of Education, Learning and Communication Sciences (SELCS) at the University of Warwick is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented colleague to join their team as a Student Experience & External Engagement Administrator on a temporary basis until 12 February 2027.

This is a part-time post of 18.25 hours per week. This will be worked across three days (Tuesday – Thursday), exact hours to be agreed.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in communications, events, and student engagement, while contributing to projects that enhance the student experience and support external engagement.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assisting in the production of engaging digital and printed communications
  • Sourcing and selecting appropriate images to support digital and print content
  • Proofreading a range of communications to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Supporting the delivery of in-person and digital events, including (but not limited to) welcome week events, graduation, student experience activities and recruitment events inc. open days.
  • Creating and scheduling social media content across relevant platforms
  • Supporting student marketing and recruitment activities.
  • Providing general administrative and project support as required

Skills and experience

Essential criteria:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to think creatively and problem solve
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks with a strong attention to detail
  • Confident using social media platforms in a professional context
  • An interest in communications, marketing, and student engagement
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly

Desirable criteria:

  • Experience of working in a communications, marketing or student experience environment.
